At Carrie Elizabeth Designs, we craft each piece of jewellery with the same care we extend to our customers. Should your purchase not meet your expectations, we offer a thoughtful returns process designed with the same attention to detail as our Gemstone Necklaces and Engravable pieces.
Our Return Promise
We accept returns within 15 days of delivery for most items, provided they are in original condition – unworn, unaltered, and with all protective packaging intact. Please note:
- Custom Made and Personalised Necklaces cannot be returned unless faulty
- Earrings (including Flat Back Earrings and Hoops & Huggies) cannot be returned for hygiene reasons
- Limited Edition Rings may have specific return conditions noted at purchase
The Return Process
Like the careful setting of a precious stone, we’ve designed this process to be simple yet secure:
- Initiate your return by emailing [email protected] with your order number and reason for return (see template below)
- Await our reply containing a Return Authorization Number and shipping instructions
- Package your item securely in its original packaging, including all certificates and care cards
- Ship using a tracked service to our Durham studio (address below)
- Once received and inspected, we’ll process your refund within 3 business days
Refund Details
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 7-10 business days after we receive your return. Please note:
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
- Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty
- For exchanges, we’ll cover the shipping cost of your new item

For international returns, mark the package as “RETURNED GOODS” to avoid customs charges. We cannot accept packages with customs fees due.
Exchange Requests
Should you wish to exchange your item for another from our collections (perhaps one of our Gold pieces or Lifestyle Accessories), please indicate this in your return request. We’ll guide you through selecting your new treasure.
